Disney guests are absolutely fed up with one particular subset of fans who simply don’t seem to understand when they’re overstaying their welcome.
Going to either the Disneyland Resort or the Walt Disney World Resort is a dream come true for many Disney fans around the world. Either Disney Resort is known for its amazing rides and attractions and for the incredible experience it provides to fans looking to soak in the Disney magic.
However, one undeniable part of the Disney experience lies squarely out of Disney’s hands, and that is guest behavior. Arguably, one of the most important parts of how a Disney Park visit goes is how guests conduct themselves, and recently, that was left sorely wanting.
Any guest would agree that a Disney character meet and greet is one of the best parts of going to a Disney Park. Having the chance to meet your favorites is a magical feeling and is one that is irreplaceable.
But sometimes, some guests can be quite inconsiderate when it comes to etiquette for meets and greets. In particular, some reported that for a while now, they’ve observed social media influencers simply take too long with Disney characters.
One guest took to Reddit to share,
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that influencers, Instagram photographers always seem to take super long with characters at Disney ? They will have extremely long convos, hog up time, take multiple photos. You can tell they are regular influencers too. Idk if that’s on them or the character to try and be quick since they have to meet a certain amount of guests. This is just something I’ve noticed and wonder if others have too.
Influencers taking long with Disney characters

While one might assume that this isn’t necessarily a common occurrence, the response from fellow fans would beg to differ.
One fan responded, “Taking multiple photos for your 30 Instagram followers with every individual member of your 8 person party or trying to get content for your livestream is not a viable reason for a meet and greet line to be held up if you’re interacting with the character disingenuously anyway.”
Another added, “I’m absolutely down for adults interacting lol, my thing was when people mostly influencers and you can tell who they are take forever ! Asking for multiple poses, video etc 💀 when other people in line start complaining too I definitely think that’s an issue.”
A third also commented, “I just want my pic and that’s it. I’m not asking for videos, multiple poses, selfie too LMAOO I’d feel so ashamed.”
Being a Disney adult is certainly a wonderful feeling, but we can all agree that there are certain codes of conduct we abide by while meeting Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse at the parks. While it’s wonderful to be able to get different kinds of photos, there is a limit to how much other guests should be made to wait!
Have you noticed influencers behaving in this manner at the parks, during your Disney World or Disneyland character meet and greet? Let Disney Dining know in the comments!
