We are just a few weeks away from the kick-off of Disneyland Resort’s Food and Wine Festival, held at Disney California Park. During that time, food booths take over most of the Park and feature a number of delicious dishes, all of which have a California flare. There are also a number of California beers and wines that will be featured during the Festival. DCA’s Food and Wine Festival draws thousands of people to the Southern California theme park, and that is sure to be true this year, since last year’s festival had to be canceled due to the pandemic.
Now, we have even more exciting news to share! Disney has revealed that the popular attraction Soarin’ Around the World will change back to Soarin’ Over California for the duration of the Food and Wine Festival. Soarin’ Over California opened along with Disney California Adventure Park in 2001 and took Guests over some beautiful California sights. Guests were flown over the Golden Gate Bridge, over lush orange groves, through Yellowstone Park, and of course, Disneyland.
Soarin’ Over California remained a popular Park staple until 2016 when it closed to be transformed into Soarin’ Around the World. Soarin’ Around the World takes Guests on trips through Sydney, Australia, past the Taj Mahal, up to the top of Matterhorn mountain, through the African plains, and up the Eiffel Tower. The attraction truly transports Guests and you may forget that you are actually still in California.
As in years past, there will also be special hard-ticketed events like the Carthay Circle Winemaker Reception and mixology seminars. Guests can also purchase the Sip ‘n’ Savor Pass that will enable them to try a variety of scrumptious food without having to whip out their wallets every time. And don’t forget to pick up some truly great merchandise that is sure to help you relive the fun memories you make at the park.
Disneyland Resort’s Food and Wine Festival will begin on March 4 and run through April 26. In addition to all of the amazing food booths, there will also be cooking demonstrations, celebrity appearances, and a cupcake decorating experience for younger Guests which is inspired by the newest Disney Junior show Alice’s Wonderland Bakery.
