The world of Hollywood is abuzz with excitement and curiosity as details of the upcoming Snow White live-action remake spreads like wildfire. This beloved Disney classic is set to receive a modern twist, promising a spellbinding experience for audiences worldwide. With an all-star cast featuring renowned actors such as Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler, the film is already generating immense interest and anticipation.
However, not everyone is thrilled that this remake is being made. An overwhelming number of fans have openly declared their negative feelings towards to project.
‘Snow White’ Faces a Fair Share of Backlash
Rachel Zegler, fresh off her remarkable performance in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, is more than ready to step into the titular character of Snow White. Zegler is a rising star in Hollywood and is known for her incredible vocal abilities and strong screen presence. As a Latin-American actress, Zegler’s casting will be a historic moment for Disney as they diversify their Disney Princesses.
However, not everyone is on board with Zegler as the Live Action Snow White. Many feel that she does not resemble the character enough and that her casting is taking away opportunities from white actresses. More scandal has shrouded the film after on-set photos showed that the seven dwarfs were now played by average-sized humans. Actors who have dwarfism have spoken out against this, saying it is unfair to take roles away from their community.

More Scandal for ‘Snow White’ Remake
Now, Zegler is joining the SAG-AFTRA strike against studios. In a recent video, the actress is quoted at the strike, saying;
“If I’m going to stand there 18 hours in a dress of an iconic Disney princess, I deserve to be paid for every hour that it is streamed online.”
Many people think that Zegler is wrong in her claims and find the Walt Disney Studios call-out unnecessary.
Oh no @rachelzegler, u don’t stand on set in a dress for 18 hrs, u have a trailer, a seat + people to hold umbrellas, keep u hot/cool/dry/fed.
Some of us do actually stand 4 18 hours on set, but are getting nothing but unemployment from this #SAGAFTRAstrike https://t.co/EkMKBBze33

After this comment and all the recent drama, we wouldn’t be surprised if Snow White Remake is postponed.
