“Ma chere Mademoiselle, it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you today. And now we invite you to relax, let us pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents – your breakfast??!!”
Starting March 20, 2015, the incredibly popular Be Our Guest restaurant will add the first meal of the day to their already celebrated lunch and dinner service. Be Our Guest is a very unique restaurant because it is a quick service restaurant for breakfast and lunch, but table service for dinner. Breakfast is the newest change to Be Our Guest, as it is only recently that you make lunch reservations.
I had the pleasure of being among a small group of guests allowed to enter Beast’s castle before 10 am and enjoyed a very special breakfast. Upon arrival, a cast member hands you a rose pager that you bring to a cash register. You place your order which will be from only 6 selections: Assorted Cured Meats and Cheese (Alpine-smoked ham, Serrano ham, Sopressata, and cheese with marmalade, fresh fruit, toasted baguette), Open-Face Bacon and Egg Sandwich (poached eggs, applewood bacon, brie cheese and arugula on a toasted baguette served with fresh fruit ), Eggs Florentine (puff pastry shell filled with scrambled eggs, cheese, and fresh spinach served with country ham and roasted plum tomatoes) Scrambled Egg Whites (scrambled egg whites with roasted tomatoes, multi-grain croissant and fresh fruit) Vegetable Quiche (mushroom, zucchini, bell pepper, onion and chive quiche served with fresh fruit) and Croissant Doughnut (fried doughnut topped with banana-caramel sauce, pastry crème and chocolate ganache)
All breakfasts will be 19.99, which includes a pastry plate with about 5 small assorted items. Our plates had a combination of chocolate croissant, cinnamon roll, Danish, blueberry and bran muffins. Your price includes a beverage including orange juice, milk or bottled water and refillable soft drinks, coffee or tea. Of course, you can splurge on the glowing castle goblet at $16.99 each. Kids menu choices include a yogurt and berry stuffed crepe, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, French toast or cereal at $11.99 each with drink and pastries included.
Then, you can grab your silverware, napkins and soft drink and find your table. The staff will wheel over your breakfast in a wheeled cabinet and collect your GPS rose, allowing you to choose your own table and having food “magically” appear to you!
Are you still thinking about the banana topped cronut? Because I have been since 8:31 am. Beautifully sugared and fried, I thought cronuts were perfect just the way they are, but when you add the banana, caramel, ganache and pastry crème…cronut perfection is achieved. I usually can’t eat too much sweet in the morning, so having the pastries and the cronut would certainly be overwhelming, not because I wouldn’t love to indulge on vacation, only because I didn’t have tums! So, I spent most of my time eating the Eggs Florentine. The croissant “box” that the eggs, spinach and cheese are served in is perfectly cooked, buttery and flaky. It was my favorite choice for breakfast.

My friend had the assorted cured meats breakfast, but told me that while the food was so good, it was a weird breakfast item. I agreed with him and I tasted to make sure he was on point! My other friend had the quiche, but started eating it so quickly that I couldn’t snap a picture first! The crust was flaky and perfect, the taste complex and filling. And, our fourth companion had the open faced sandwich. Though incredibly tasty, it was hard to eat. The bread was a little too toasted and eggs a bit too runny, so we came up with a solution of just grabbing a fork and knife and we were all happily eating off his plate. The plate of pastries was a great idea, mainly because I like to taste everything. With the exception of the muffins, which were slightly overcooked, the pastries were soft, sweet and tasty and certainly made the $19.99 price tag much more reasonable.

The interior of Be Our Guest is worth the trip alone, allowing guests to choose a table in one of three incredibly detailed, themed rooms: The Grand Ballroom, The West Wing or The Castle Gallery. I think you should just go at least three times rather than only experiencing one! The theming, attentive and knowledgeable, friendly staff and what is now the best breakfast at Magic Kingdom, make me highly recommend allowing Be Our Guest to put their service to the test. Trust me it’s delicious! Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes! Bon Appétit

Food: I think this is the best breakfast option at Magic Kingdom. You can have anything from sweet to savory, including a banana caramel topped croissant doughnut to a hearty quiche. Assorted meats platter, egg whites, eggs Florentine and an open faced egg sandwich are offered along with your beverage and plate of assorted pastries for one price.
Atmosphere: Disney does most things right, but Be our Guest is more than right, it’s magical. You will feel like Belle, with her wonder of first discovering Beast’s Castle. It is romantic, even for breakfast, and the cast members go out of their way to make you feel like a treasured guest. Choose one of three rooms, but I suggest The West Wing (unless you can’t deal with a dark room.) The rose is in there, so just trust me on this!
Service: Breakfast and Lunch are quick service, Dinner is table service. Cast Members were courteous, friendly and attentive. Our food was brought to us in a reasonable amount of time and cleared almost immediately after we finished up. It is quick service with a table service feel.
Tips: Ask the Cast Members the castle secrets; they are happy to show and tell! Reservations are accepted for all three meal periods. Breakfast and Lunch are considered 1 quick service entitlement on the Disney Dining Plan and dinner will take 1 table service credit. If you want to eat at Be Our Guest, make a reservation as far in advance as possible, it is one of the most popular restaurants in Walt Disney World.
