Short But Mysterious Closure Coming to Disney Lounge—Here’s What We Know

Alright, Disney fans—if your idea of vacation bliss includes settling into a cozy, vintage lounge with a craft cocktail in hand, this one’s for you. Belle Vue Lounge at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is going to be temporarily closed for a short refurbishment, and yes, we’re already counting the days until it reopens.

According to Disney’s official schedule, Belle Vue Lounge will close from June 9 through June 11. That’s just three days, but if you were planning to stop in for your usual post-park nightcap, it might shift your plans a little.

If you’ve never been, Belle Vue Lounge is one of those places that feels like a Disney World secret. Tucked just off the lobby at the BoardWalk Inn, it looks like a 1930s living room—radios playing old-school programs, antique furniture, and that relaxing, classy vibe that makes you want to slow down and just soak it all in. It’s not loud. It’s not flashy. And that’s why so many of us love it.

So why the closure? It’s not totally clear, but with such a short timeline, we’re probably looking at light maintenance or maybe a little furniture refresh. Nothing too disruptive. Think of it as Belle Vue going in for a mini spa day.

In the meantime, Disney’s not leaving guests high and dry. Carousel Coffee—located just nearby—will be stepping in to offer bar service with a modified version of Belle Vue’s menu. Same hours, too: 4 p.m. to midnight. So if you were craving your usual cocktail, you can still get a taste of it—just in a slightly different setting.

This update is part of a larger wave of changes happening at Disney’s BoardWalk. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the resort slowly evolve, with a revamped lobby, updated rooms, and new food and beverage offerings. Carousel Coffee, for instance, replaced the old Dundy’s Sundries. Belle Vue itself even got new furniture recently.

Meanwhile, outside on the actual boardwalk, we’ve said goodbye to Big River Grille and JellyRolls, but welcomed in some exciting new options like The Cake Bake Shop, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and BoardWalk Deli. So change is definitely in the air.

But don’t worry—Belle Vue Lounge isn’t going anywhere permanently. This short closure is just a quick refresh. If anything, it’ll come back looking better than ever, ready for guests to enjoy once again.

So if you’re visiting Disney World between June 9–11, maybe swing by Carousel Coffee for a fill-in cocktail. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for Belle Vue’s return—it’s one of those little Disney gems that’s worth waiting for.
