Are Theme Parks Doing Enough?
Regardless of if you are a Carowinds visitor or not, this story has sent a shiver down the spine of every theme Park enthusiast. As Disney Parks and Universal fans, we put so much trust in these companies to keep us and our loved ones safe on rides. There is an immense amount of risk that comes with rides as fast as modern-day roller coasters, and this incident is a sobering reminder that theme parks can quickly become a very dangerous places.
According to their statement, Carowinds conducts daily safety checks, the same as Disney and Universal. Hopefully, this incident gives theme Parks an incentive to provide more thorough safety checks for all rides. Thankfully, no one was hurt in what could have easily become a very tragic situation.
