Every other year, D23 — the official Disney fan club — hosts a massive expo at the Anaheim Convention Center, right across the street from Disneyland Resort. The D23 Expo features a number of fun and informative panels, a ton of Disney stars, and a lot of great merchandise you can purchase to remember your time there. The D23 Expo is incredibly popular and draws thousands of Disney fans to Southern California, with tickets selling out relatively quickly.

In the past, the D23 Expo has taken place in late August, but this year it will take begin September 9 and run through September 11. The Expo was originally supposed to happen in 2021 but had to be postponed until 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, things are running on schedule and everything is looking good, so if you want to attend this year’s event, mark your calendar, because tickets to the 2022 D23 Expo go on sale on January 20th.

There are also some big changes that have been made to this year’s purchasing process that Guests should know about. According to the D23 website, here are the changes that you need to be aware of.
- You must be a D23 Gold or General Member to purchase tickets. Fans can join D23 with a Gold Membership ($99.99), Gold Duo Membership ($129.99), or General Membership (complimentary) at JoinD23.com.
- Attendees will be able to secure advance reservations for select panels and experiences through a new random selection process closer to the event.
- A new preferred seating ticket option will be available for Hall D23.
- You will be able to easily transfer your additional guest badges to your family and friends who will be attending with you.

Tickets for the D23 Expo can be purchased by the day, or Guests can purchase a ticket for the entire weekend. D23 Gold Members will pay a slightly lower price than general members, and children’s tickets are also available for a lower price.
