Universal Destinations & Experiences is known for updating, building, and replacing outdated attractions. Universal Studios Hollywood recently opened SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. Over in Florida, Universal Orlando Resort is in the process of building a third theme park called Epic Universe, which will open in 2025. Universal has also talked about building a third theme park in America, which will be located in Frisco, Texas. With all of these major changes coming to Universal Studios, keeping beloved attractions updated is an important role.
Universal Hollywood is a fun-filled experience for Guests of all ages. Guests can experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World The Ride, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, and many more thrilling attractions. Guests can also visit where films are made with the World-Famous Studio Tour. If you’ve never experienced the Studio Tour, it is a behind-the-scenes look at movie-making secrets. Visitors can experience the most extensive street movie set in Hollywood history, built with creative consultation from Steven Spielberg himself.
One of the most popular rides at Universal Studios Hollywood is none other than Transformers: The Ride 3-D. The immersive ride takes visitors on a thrilling adventure through the world of the Transformers. The ride utilizes state-of-the-art 3D technology, as well as motion simulation, to create an experience that is both exhilarating and realistic.
On Universal’s Official Website, we can see that Transformers: The Ride 3D is temporarily closed, and no reopening date has been given. At this time, it’s unclear how long the refurbishment will take or when the attraction might be available to Guests again.
Visitors to Transformers: The Ride 3D begin their adventure by entering the NEST (Nonbiological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty) facility, where they are briefed on the mission they are about to undertake. As they make their way through the facility, they encounter various Transformers characters, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Megatron.
Once Guests are strapped into their seats, the ride begins. Using a combination of 3D visuals and motion simulation, the ride takes visitors on a fast-paced journey through a city under attack by the Decepticons. Along the way, Guests encounter a variety of obstacles, including explosions, falling buildings, and intense battle scenes.
