Attraction closures at Disney World are not uncommon, as the park management periodically reviews and refreshes its offerings to ensure that guests are treated to the latest and most captivating experiences.
Due to the amount of guests Disney World sees in a day, wear and tear on attractions is common. Walt Disney World Resort is a very popular tourist location, bringing in thousands of guests daily. Walt Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney park offers exciting attractions, shows, dining, and much more for guests to experience.
The moment you enter Magic Kingdom, guests are greeted by the iconic Cinderella Castle, a symbol of the Disney World park’s enchantment and wonder. Magic Kingdom guests can visit several different lands like Frontierland, Adventureland, Main Street, U.S.A, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and many more.
Disney’s popular attraction, Walt Disney World Railroad, will be saying goodbye to the Roy O. Disney Locomotive. This is one of four disney trains located at Magic Kingdom. This locomotive will be away for a lengthy time, which has yet to be determined, to the popular feature on the attraction. @cjthapanda, a user on X (formerly known as Twitter), recently shared images capturing the transportation of the Roy O. Disney locomotive as it departed from the parks.

The railroad features four restored steam locomotives, each with its own unique history and character. These locomotives, named the Walter E. Disney, the Roy O. Disney, the Lilly Belle, and the Roger E. Broggie, pay tribute to Disney’s founders and early Imagineers. The locomotives are not just functional; they are living pieces of Disney history.
With all of these different lands, guests should be prepared for a long walk around the park. However, they can shorten their walks around Magic Kingdom by using the Walt Disney World Railroad. This railroad makes three stops: At the entrance to the park on Main Street, U.S.A., The Frontierland station, which is near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and The Fantasyland station, which is near the Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction.
Guests riding the Walt Disney World Railroad will get to hear from the conductor, who provides informative narration, sharing interesting facts about the park’s history, the railroad itself, and the various lands you pass through.
