The latest installment in the Spider-Verse franchise, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), recently swung into theaters, and the film has been all the rage since.
Across the Spider-Verse stars a widely celebrated cast of actors and actresses, including Oscar Isaac, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Jason Schwartzman, Hailee Steinfeld, and Shameik Moore.
Pedro Pascal, despite not having a speaking role in this film, does have a secret cameo, or a secret identity.

Just to reiterate, Pedro Pascal did not play a part in Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. That being said, a certain Spider-Person may or may not bear a striking resemblance to the heartthrob beneath the mask…or should we say beneath the bandana?
#WebSlinger was one of the most fun assignments I had. Spent months exploring all kinds of different cowboys and cowgirls until we settled on something a bit more classic. This is one of the characters I spent a lot of time getting the details right.#AcrossTheSpiderVerse pic.twitter.com/6FruIG5fgH

Web-Slinger is a version of Peter Parker from a wild west universe, in which he’s a web-gun-slinging outlaw instead of a super-hero vigilante.
According to the character’s designer, this version of Peter Parker was modeled, in part, after Pedro Pascal over the original Peter B. Parker model.
This is honestly kind of a good time to mention that a lot of my time was spent doing drawing overs, or that designs are just based on tweaking previous models.
But regarding Webslinger, I added a little Pedro Pascal to a Peter model https://t.co/m4jHo8sMX8 pic.twitter.com/Rm2V9wj8kw— kris anka (@kristaferanka) June 17, 2023

Considering Pedro Pascal’s work as Din Djarin, also known as the titular character from Disney Plus’s original series The Mandalorian, we can totally see why the wild west cowboy version of Peter Parker would bear a resemblance.
Although audiences never see the face beneath Web-Slinger’s mask, it’s a neat little easter egg to know that this version of Peter Parker was modeled after Pedro Pascal.
