It seems like 2023 is shaping up to be the year of the spider.
With Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) swinging into theaters and becoming an instant hit, and the highly anticipated video game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releasing in October of this year, fans of the beloved comic book character have a lot to look forward to.
In both of these mediums, Miles Morales and Peter Parker don their Spider-Man suits to continue crime-fighting and web-slinging all around New York City.
That being said, fans of the classic comic book character are never quite satisfied. Spider-Man is one of the characters with the most Marvel Comics series out there, and as he makes his way to the big screen, either portrayed by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Tom Holland, or Shameik Moore, fans simply can’t get enough.
While Tom Holland recently revealed that production on an upcoming Spider-Man 4 film has been completely halted due to the ongoing Writers Guild of America Strike, Sony Pictures seemingly has other ideas in mind…
While the ongoing writers’ strike has halted the production of dozens of Marvel Studios movies and TV shows, Sony Pictures has reportedly set two release dates: November 8, 2024, and June 27, 2025.
Currently, these release dates have not been accompanied by a film name.
But recently, rumors were going around stating that Tom Hardy’s Venom 3 film would release in the fall of 2024 while Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 would release in the summer of 2025.
If these rumors are true, then it seems like Spider-Man fans still have much to look forward to.
