Paramount Cancels ‘Landman’s Expected November 2026 Return, Fans Face Much Longer Wait
Anyone hoping to see Landman back on Paramount+ before the end of 2026 can officially stop waiting for a surprise announcement.
Season 3 is still happening, but the timeline has changed dramatically. After hopes that the hit Taylor Sheridan series could return around November 2026, production delays have effectively wiped that possibility off the calendar.
Instead, fans may now have to wait until mid-to-late 2027.
November Looked Like a Real Possibility
A November return made sense based on how Paramount+ had handled Landman previously.
Season 2 concluded in January 2026, and many viewers hoped Paramount would maintain a relatively quick turnaround. That put November 2026 in the conversation as a possible destination for Season 3.
Unfortunately, production hasn’t progressed quickly enough.
Season 3 filming was pushed back and is now expected to begin in September 2026. That alone leaves virtually no possibility of having episodes ready two months later.
More importantly, the production schedule stretches well beyond November.
Filming Could Continue Into 2027
James Jordan, who plays Dale, previously said the team expected to shoot through the first quarter of 2027.
That changes the entire conversation surrounding a premiere.
Paramount+ hasn’t announced an official Season 3 release date, but a show still filming during the opening months of 2027 obviously isn’t going to premiere in November 2026.
Taylor Sheridan was also reportedly still writing the upcoming season as production approached.
Once filming concludes, the series will still have to move through the remainder of its production process before finished episodes can reach Paramount+.

Landman Fans Could Be Waiting Until Late 2027
The current expectation points toward a mid-to-late 2027 premiere, although Paramount+ hasn’t committed to a specific date.
That could push Season 3 nearly a full year beyond the November 2026 window many fans originally hoped to see.
There is at least one major piece of good news: Landman hasn’t been canceled.
Paramount+ renewed the series for Season 3 in December 2025 following the success of Season 2. Billy Bob Thornton and company will be back.
Fans just won’t be returning to West Texas nearly as soon as they once expected.
