Nine Dragons

Nine Dragons

We actually had no plans or reservations to visit Nine Dragons while in Epcot on Feb. 10/09, however after spending a couple of hours in the China Pavilion and the marketplace area (we LOVED China), we were all starving for more than a hot dog and fries. We decided to check and see if we could get in to Nine Dragons and to our surprise there was no line and we were seated immediately at 12:30 p.m.

We absolutely loved the authentic decor and atmosphere of the restaurant, it was light and refreshing. Our server was a lovely girl from China and she was very attentive and even showed our 2 kids how to write their names in Chinese.

I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, my husband had the Beef dish and my daughter had the Nine Dragon’s fried rice with shrimp skewers. We all shared and I have to say that all the food was EXCELLENT.  My husband and I also ordered a bowl of the wonton soup each and we were not disappointed in it.

As we were on the dining plan, it came with desert and my husband and I shared the banana spring rolls with ginger ice cream which was fantastic. My daughter had the rice pudding not realizing that it was the traditional Chinese version and it was not very good at all. It had a strange taste and was served cold. None of us liked it, but it just wasn’t to our tastes. There was more than enough food and in fact we were all so stuffed that I had to cancel our 4:30 p.m. dinner reservation for Captain Jack’s that evening.

We really enjoyed Nine Dragons immensely and voted it our 2nd favorite meal of our 10 day trip (Crystal Palace being 1st). If we go back I will be sure to make a reservation for this place as we would love to visit it again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
