It’s an excellent time to be a Super Mario fan! The Super Mario Bros. Movie has surpassed every Disney movie but one to be one the second highest-grossing animated film of all time. (Disney CEO Bob Iger even took time from the second quarter earnings call to congratulate Universal on the win). Universal Hollywood has opened Super Nintendo World, and it’s getting rave reviews. Universal Orlando is currently in the process of building their own Super Nintendo World, and we are absolutely rapt with delight. It just couldn’t get better for Mario fans…could it?
As it turns out, it could. Today we discovered that a brand new Super Mario game is set to be released in just a few short months! Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be a 2D game that takes everything you love about Maejo and adds its own unique twist. Mario can turn into an elephant now. I mean, do I really need to say more?
