There will be plenty of reasons to visit Walt Disney World in 2027, and some of the biggest changes won’t involve rides at all.
Disney is preparing to open six new restaurants across Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the upcoming Lakeshore Lodge. The new locations are connected to major projects that will reshape parts of the resort next year.
From Japanese-inspired food in Monstropolis to a massive new quick-service restaurant at Animal Kingdom, Disney dining is about to get a sizable expansion.
Tropical Americas Gets a Major Dining Location
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will welcome The Hacienda as part of Pueblo Esperanza, the village at the center of the new Tropical Americas area.
The Hacienda will be a quick-service restaurant, although it certainly won’t be a small one. Disney has said it will become one of the largest quick-service dining locations at Walt Disney World.
Disney hasn’t revealed a complete menu yet, so there are still plenty of details to come before its 2027 debut.
The restaurant will arrive alongside several attractions in Pueblo Esperanza, including Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and El Carrusel de los Animalitos.
With so much planned for this part of Animal Kingdom, The Hacienda could become an important place for guests to stop during a busy park day.
Monstropolis Adds Two Places to Eat
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the upcoming Monstropolis area will introduce two restaurants.
Harryhausen’s Restaurant brings a familiar location from Monsters, Inc. (2001) into the real world. Disney says the restaurant will feature a Japanese-inspired menu unlike anything else currently offered at Walt Disney World.
The theming may be just as interesting as the food.
Disney plans to include a large Sushi Chef Audio-Animatronic inspired by the character seen in the movie.
Guests wanting something quicker will have another option nearby.
Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza will replace PizzeRizzo and take its name from Archie, Fear Tech’s six-legged scare pig. The quick-service restaurant should give Monstropolis a more casual dining option alongside Harryhausen’s.
Both restaurants are expected to be part of the land’s first phase in 2027, even though the massive door-vault coaster won’t be ready when that initial phase opens.
Three Restaurants Are Coming to Lakeshore Lodge
Disney’s upcoming Lakeshore Lodge will account for the other half of the six new restaurants.
Moonglade will serve as the resort’s table-service option, featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Floor-to-ceiling windows will offer views of the natural surroundings.
Bay Lake Provisions will provide a quicker alternative. The marketplace-style restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an open-kitchen setting. Disney is also teasing appearances from woodland creatures inspired by classic Disney properties throughout the location.
Finally, Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will serve guests near Lakeshore Lagoon, the resort’s zero-entry pool. The menu will include shareable bites and specialty beverages.
Altogether, Disney World has six very different restaurants scheduled for 2027.
While new attractions will likely grab much of the attention, guests will also have several new dining experiences to discover as Disney World enters another major year of change.
