Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge doesn’t open until summer 2027, but guests hoping to stay at Walt Disney World’s newest resort will be able to lock in their plans much sooner.
Disney has confirmed that reservations will begin opening in October 2026, and Disney Vacation Club Members are getting the first opportunity to book. Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will follow one day later, giving both groups access before reservations become available to everyone.
For anyone hoping to experience Lakeshore Lodge during its first months of operation, those early booking dates are worth remembering.
DVC Members Get the First Booking Window
Disney Vacation Club Members will receive the earliest access when cash reservations for Lakeshore Lodge become available.
The DVC early cash booking window begins October 6, 2026. Members can make their reservations by calling (800) 800-9800.
Annual Passholders get their opportunity one day later, on October 7. Passholders can reserve by calling (407) 934-7639.
Then, beginning October 8, Disney will open reservations to all guests. At that point, reservations can be made online or by phone.
The difference is only a day or two, but early access could matter for guests who want particular dates or accommodation types.
Lakeshore Lodge officially opens July 1, 2027, giving guests booking in October roughly nine months to prepare for their stay.
Guests Will Have Plenty of Rooms to Choose From
Once those booking windows open, guests won’t be choosing from one standard style of accommodation.
Lakeshore Lodge will feature 967 accommodations, including studios, villas, suites, and waterfront Lake Houses. Disney has also revealed that different room categories will take inspiration from different animated films.
Duo studios will feature touches inspired by Encanto (2021), while deluxe studios and one-bedroom villas will draw from Bambi (1942).
Guests interested in Pocahontas (1995) will find inspiration from the film in resort studios and the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite. The three-bedroom grand villas will incorporate Fantasia (1940), while Waterfront Lake Houses will draw inspiration from Brother Bear (2003).
That range could make the early reservation period particularly interesting. DVC Members and Passholders may already have specific room categories in mind when their booking dates arrive.
A New Waterfront Disney Resort Is Coming
Lakeshore Lodge is being constructed along Bay Lake on the former site of Disney’s River Country water park. The property sits between Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
Its location will become an important part of the resort experience.
Many accommodations will overlook Bay Lake, and some guests should be able to see Magic Kingdom fireworks at night. Disney is also adding Dandelion Terrace, a lounge overlooking the lake with fireworks views.
Three dining locations are planned as well: Moonglade, Bay Lake Provisions, and Paint Out Point Bar & Grill.
All of those details give guests plenty to consider before reservations begin.
After years of development and uncertainty surrounding the project, Lakeshore Lodge finally has both an opening date and a booking schedule.
DVC Members go first on October 6. Annual Passholders follow October 7. Everyone else gets access October 8.
The resort itself won’t welcome guests until July 1, 2027, but for anyone hoping to be among its earliest visitors, the important dates arrive this fall.
