Every year, Disney goes all out in celebrating the holiday season. Things kick off in August, when Walt Disney World Resort begins Halloween, with Jack O’Lanterns and fun decorations covering every nook and cranny. Then, in November, the Most Magical Place on Earth is transformed into the Merriest Place on Earth! Gorgeous holiday decorations cover every inch of the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Guests can also get into the holiday spirit without stepping foot into the parks! Disney Springs and the resort hotels are all decorated to the nines. And the homemade gingerbread houses are absolutely enormous and stunning.

For years, guests visiting Walt Disney World during the holiday season have been able to enjoy the hard-ticketed event, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. Last year, Disney introduced a brand-new holiday celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Jollywood Nights.

Jollywood Nights celebrated the holiday glamour of old Hollywood. There was the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club at Tower of Terror, a holiday street fair, and the Jazzy Holiday celebration over at the Hollywood Brown Derby. Guests also enjoyed a Nightmare Before Christmas sing-along, a holiday show featuring The Muppets, exclusive photo-ops, a showing of Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!, and a ton of incredible food and merchandise offerings.

It had a rocky start, including cancellations due to weather, but overall, Jollywood Nights was a hit. In fact, it was so popular that Disney decided to bring it back for a second year!

And this year will be even bigger and better, featuring some brand-new and incredibly rare characters!

This year, guests will be able to meet Baloo and King Louie, but not from their Jungle Book (1967) era. Instead, it will be from their time on the hit Disney Channel show, Talespin! They will be part of a 1990s and 2000s-themed celebration that will take place around Echo Lake.

Also making their debut at Jollywood Nights will be José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros (1944). Hopefully, they will join Donald for a reunion you don’t see every day at Disney. José and Panchito can be found throughout the night, hanging out in the Animation Courtyard.

Toy Story (1995) fans will also be able to see some rare characters during the holiday party. This year, Bo Peep and Lotso will be meeting guests at the entrance to Toy Story Land.
