Since the 1990s, Disneyland has invited Guests into the world of some of their favorite Disney cartoon characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Pluto, and Roger Rabbit. Recently, Walt Disney Imagineering revisited the classic space, providing new improvements in honor of the Disney100 Years of Wonder celebration, such as the Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction housed inside the El CapiTOON Theater, Cafe Daisy, and Good Boy! Grocers, Goofy’s How to Play Yard and Donald’s Duck Boat, plus CenTOONial Park.
Most recently, Toontown welcomed Pete (AKA Pete the Cat or Peg-leg Pete), Mickey’s most famous adversary in the classic Disney Studios cartoons. While fans love the new snack options during their very own perfect picnics, as well as a deeper insight into some of the characters’ lives, some of the changes had a more meaningful goal in mind, one of inclusion and accessibility.

For example, Toontown walkways received a necessary update to remove all curbs, rendering the full space accessible to wheelchair users and other mobility devices. In addition, Imagineers researched child development and sensory processing in order to provide efficient spaces for decompression, relaxation, and stimulation, such as water play tables.
Moreover, new paint jobs toned down overstimulating colors, and Disney adapted the land’s audio loop to include more soothing musical sounds within the background of every Guest’s visit. Now, Disney will release the full 35-minute and 33-second-long audio track playlist on Spotify for fans to enjoy at home as well, featuring new music from The Toontown Tooners, Chantry Johnson, and Jessica Freedman.

In contrast to other theme park audios, which many fans record themselves and share uncopyrighted online, Toontown’s tracks are properly rendered with no background infiltration on tracks like “My Happy Place,” “Strolling Along,” “Lazy Bounce,” “Playtime Shuffle,” “Afternoon Sun,” “The Spectrum Song,” “Walking and Whistling,” and “Hot Dog!” Additional songs include “Mousin’ Around,” “ Happy Days,” “ The Homespun Medley,” and classic Toon favorites such as “I2I,” the “Mickey Mouse Club March,” and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme,” and the new attraction’s theme, “Nothing Can Stop Us Now.”
Music From Mickey’s Toontown debuts on March 24, 2023!
