Families Might Not Be Able To Visit Magic Kingdom This Fall – Here’s Why

If you’re planning a fall trip to Magic Kingdom Park and hoping to experience the Halloween season at its fullest, we recommend booking sooner rather than later. Tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are disappearing faster than most Walt Disney World Resort guests realize.

The Situation as of August 18

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the separately ticketed after-hours event that takes over Magic Kingdom Park on select nights from now through October 31, 2026. On those evenings, the park effectively becomes a private event space from 7:00 p.m. to midnight — guests without special-event tickets are turned away as the party crowd moves in.

As of Tuesday, Thursday, October 15, has sold out, becoming the latest date to disappear from Walt Disney World Resort’s official ticketing page. The list of unavailable nights has been steadily growing throughout the summer, and the remaining dates are becoming fewer with each passing week.

Tickets are still available on the following dates:

  • August 23, 25, 28, and 30
  • September 1, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, and 29
  • October 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, and 27.

Remaining tickets range from $139 to $224 per adult and $129 to $214 per child aged three to nine. Children under three enter free with a paying adult. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members should log in to their Disney account before purchasing to check their eligibility for a $10 discount on select nights.

What the Evening Includes

For families who do secure tickets, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party delivers an experience that regular Magic Kingdom Park admission can’t match. Ticket holders can enter as early as 4:00 p.m. and stay until midnight.

The event, which begins at 7:00 p.m., includes trick-or-treating at stations throughout the park, rare and costumed character meet-and-greets, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks over Cinderella Castle, exclusive themed food and beverage offerings, and event-only merchandise.

One of the party’s most appealing perks: guests of all ages can wear Halloween costumes, an exception to the resort’s standard policy that prohibits costumes for guests 14 and older during regular park hours. In 2026, a Tomorrowland masquerade dance party inspired by Lilo & Stitch (2002) joins the lineup for the first time.
