Grunt Style, a popular military-based clothing company, has joined forces with Mickey Mouse, using the famous character in a shocking way to promote violence, and we don’t know how to feel.

Mickey Mouse, initially created in 1928, has seen his fair share of use over the decades. Created by Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney, the most famous rodent in the world has become an American icon, easily recognizable by anyone, despite their race, location, or language.

Although used solely by The Walt Disney Company for over 90 years, a little over a month ago, Mickey Mouse, at least a specific version of him, entered the public domain.

Since then, we’ve seen Steamboat Willie, an early version of our beloved mouse, used just about everywhere, from video games to horror films. Now, Mickey has entered into a new venture, promoting Grunt Style’s specific apparel line.

Grunt Style

Grunt Style is a clothing brand specializing in patriotic apparel for men and women. It is known for its high-quality apparel that combines style and a strong sense of American pride. Grunt Style offers a wide selection of t-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel items that feature bold designs and slogans reflecting the red-blooded, blue-collar spirit.

The brand has gained popularity among military veterans, first responders, and those who admire their service and sacrifice. Grunt Style is recognized for its dedication to honoring the brave men and women who serve in the United States military and other essential roles within the community.

Their apparel is designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia, showcasing the heart and pride of the American spirit.

But the thing about Grunt Style is that although they promote patriotic ideas such as freedom, often the company uses triggering ideas and phrases on their clothing. Guns, bloody knives, and alcohol are all part of their veteran-affiliated lines, each backed by a beer guarantee.

“What’s a beer guarantee?” you might be wondering. Well, according to Grunt Style’s website, it’s just a return policy in which the company’s customer service department will replace your clothing item if there is any issue with it.

Grunt Style has a ton of offerings that allow users to browse GS limited custom apparel, take advantage of a limited-time offer, or even participate in community events such as Grunt Fest.

Grunt Style and Mickey Mouse

Grunt Style has a ton of merchandise available to shoppers, and they often utilize popular culture to create branding for their clothing lines.

However, as seen via Facebook promotional ads, their latest line goes well beyond making small tweaks here and there to avoid lawsuits. Much like many other companies, Grunt Style has taken advantage of the public domain and is now using Steamboat Willie, all dressed in military garb with the statement, “Full Metal Mouse.”

Nine Line Apparel

The use of Steamboat Willie went one step further with a company called Nine Line Apparel.

Nine Line Apparel offers Mickey Mouse apparel in a “kill pedophile” clothing campaign. The shirts and hoodies included paint Steamboat Willie with an M-4 rifle and are all branded with the phrase, “Kill Your Local Pedophile.”

The choice is interesting, as many conservative groups have made claims against Disney for harboring pedophiles, promoting child pornography, and more.

Still, regarding their use of Steamboat Willie, it’s a tough pill to swallow seeing our beloved mouse used to promote violence, even if The Walt Disney Company themselves have done the same in the past during wartime.

  1. Grunt Style is awesome! Love the shirts!

    • I have a bunch of their shirts and a subscription. I need to get a Mickey Mouse M-16 shirt. Maybe these companies will make money with Mickey Mouse. Disney certified is not.

  2. The LDE this company gives off can be seen from space.

  3. I can’t believe how soft people are now. So soft they wouldn’t post my first comment. Grow a pair Michael.

    • Maybe these companies can make Mickey Mouse profitable again. I’ll help them out. I have a subscription to Grunt Style. It is vet owned and operated. They donate to vet causes. Our tax dollars are supposed to go to taking care of our vets. But instead they are going to Ukraine and bottom surgeries.

  4. Felt the same way seeing Mickey used to push Rainbow merchandise.

  5. Awesome, Mickey Mouse under Walt Disney Supported the United States Military, You, Stop with your Whining and Woke Bullcrap! I am buy the 9Line gear just make you Liberal Leftist Anti-American Cry! God Bless The United States of America and The Republic it Stands For!

    • Support Grunt Style too. They are also on Amazon. They are vet owned and operated. I salute M-16 Mickey Mouse. I’m doing something else with my hands for woke Disney

  6. Look there is no reason to be upset about making Como scared the should live in fear they hurt children

  7. The first post was intentionally calculated to do the very damage that they then had to retract and apologize for. They wanted to have anything conservative look like crazy nutjob propaganda when it was another company that was crazy nutjob propagandists. Furthermore, Disney would not license the likeness of Mickey Mouse to a company that was producing a product that says “kill” anyone. But it looks like woke retailers would do just that. As despicable as the Disney Company is and how they operate, there are lines that you just don’t cross. Most of the money Disney makes at the parks is money spent by families who love their children and wish that Disney had retained some of the values that Walt espoused. But they have openly catered to a tiny fraction of a VERY LOUD demografic who would love nothing more than to destroy the traditional family and the American way of life. Shame on you for posting the first story. The retraction came too late and the damage had been done. But that was your intention, wasn’t it?
