Due to the popularity of Disney World and Walt Disney’s theme parks, other competitors are starting to be more like Disney. Disney World is the largest Disney Resort with four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Then there is Disneyland Park which was the first park designed by Walt Disney himself. Across the world, Shanghai Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disney Resort can also be found.

While guests all around the world go to Disney the famous saying Walt Disney has been quoted saying is “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing – that it all started with a mouse”.

Walt has never spoken truer words about Disney, as everyone knows it all started with a mouse named Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks, and made his debut on November 18, 1928, in the short film Steamboat Willie. Since that historic moment, Mickey has become one of the most iconic and beloved fictional characters in the world, transcending generations and cultures.

In a social media post, one Disney guest spotted an imposter Mickey near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT. This imposter was none other than a rat at Disney World. At the same time, this rat was becoming a snack for another friend at Disney. Seeing a rat at Disney World is a rare moment, but from time to time, guests may spot a wild animal encounter.

Disney World guests and cast members have to remember that while Disney cast members do their best at keeping Disney parks clean and safe, Disney encompasses vast acres of land, including wetlands and natural areas, which can attract various creatures.

Disney World has seen snakes, birds, raccoons, alligators, possums, and even bears on Disney property. The most recent wild animal spotted at Disney was a bear, and this bear was located in the caves at Magic Kingdom on Tom Sawyer Island. Disney had to close certain areas of the park for the safety of guests. But they were able to capture the bear and safely relocate him.

If guests head to Disney to see different animals, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the best Disney World park for an up close and personal experience with different wild animals. At the same time, wild animals that find their homes at Disney World, squirrels and ducks are commonly spotted at Disney parks. But keep your eyes out for snakes, alligators, and much more.

Have you ever seen a wild animal at Disney World?
