Calling all Disney foodies! Big news coming out of Walt Disney World Resort today as we are learning two Disney all-you-care-to-enjoy buffets are returning soon to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. We previously shared the news that Boma Flavors of Africa reopened today (August 20) as the first buffet to reopen since the pandemic. Now, Disney has dropped two other favorite Disney buffets that are making a comeback.
First up, let’s head on over to EPCOT and stroll the World Showcase to the Germany pavilion. As shared by Disney: Beginning August 29, Biergarten Restaurant in the German pavilion at EPCOT will offer a buffet dining experience for lunch and dinner. Enjoy your favorite German dishes – pretzel rolls, bratwurst, spätzle, schnitzel, and a variety of desserts, including apple strudel and black forest rolls. Prost!
And now, moving right along to Magic Kingdom where the stunning Crystal Palace awaits! Inspired by Victorian greenhouses of the late 1800s, The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park is such an enchanting spot for dining. I am happy to announce starting Sept. 12, their buffet will open for lunch and dinner where you can feast on Parker House rolls, create-your-own fresh garden salad, seared pork tenderloin, fire-roasted prime rib, braised beef short ribs, and more.
When The Crystal Palace Magic Kingdom Park reopened, we were sad to hear the Disney character dining including Winnie the Pooh and Friends would not be returning for the former character meal. While there are other modified character dining experiences like Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Topolino’s breakfast at Disney’s Riviera Resort, it seems like The Crystal Palace will remain characterless for now. Our hopes are that the return of the delicious buffet makes up for it! If/when characters do return to The Crystal Palace, we will be sure to share the news as soon as possible. In the meantime snag a dining reservation, happy dining at these delicious buffets once again!
