Superstar Katy Perry looks fantastic for her age (we are the same age, so I can get away with saying that). Actually, I take that back. She looks amazing for any age. The 38-year-old pop sensation recently wowed audiences during American Idol’s Disney Night with a skin-tight Disney costume.

Disney Night has been a regular feature on American Idol since its move to ABC in 2018. Before that, the show ran for 15 seasons on Fox and is best remembered for judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson. The show was canceled after what Fox reported as a 70% ratings drop in 2017. ABC quickly snapped it up and brought it back to life.

Perry took the stage with co-judges Luke Bryan (46) and Lionel Richie (73), but only Perry was dressed the part. The “Fireworks” singer was making some fireworks of her own dressed as Mrs. Incredible A.K.A Helen Parr from the Disney/Pixar film The Incredibles.

We recently discussed Mrs. Incredible in our special Mother’s Day article. As a working mom herself, Perry knows a thing or two about juggling the responsibilities of motherhood and a career. Perry, who is a mom to 2-year-old Daisy, has been making hit records since 2008 and judging American Idol since 2018.

In a costume that looked positively painted on her, the singer showed off her moves as she danced on stage in her show-stopping red and black costume. She even wore a retro red wig and a black eye mask to look the part.

Before hitting the stage, Perry and the top 5 remaining contestants spent some time with their families at Disneyland in Anaheim. While there, the contestants met with celebrity mentor and singer-songwriter Sofia Carson for their one-on-one coaching in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park while the coaches got up to some mischief.

She likes to say Disney is in her blood and writing is in her bones — so any time she has the opportunity to combine these loves she is one happy camper! When she isn't exploring or writing about Disney Parks, Jill is homeschooling her 8 year old son, playing with her brand new baby son, or pretending to be a farmer on her family homestead (despite being unable to keep even a cactus alive).
