The Jurassic franchise is set to expand in 2025 with multiple new projects spanning film, television, gaming, and beyond. The long-running franchise, which has captivated audiences since Jurassic Park was released in theaters in 1993, continues to evolve with fresh content across different corners of entertainment.
Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh film in the franchise, is scheduled for theatrical release on July 2, 2025. Directed by Gareth Edwards (2014’s Godzilla), the upcoming movie will star Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey in leading roles, centering on a top-secret mission to an abandoned InGen island where “a sinister, shocking discovery” awaits.
The gaming world will also see significant developments. “Jurassic Park: Survival,” an upcoming first-person action-adventure game, takes place directly after the events of the original 1993 film. Additionally, a new installment in the “Jurassic World Evolution” series is in development, continuing the popular park management simulation franchise.

Now, according to a Netflix press release (via What’s On Netflix), the popular animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will return for Season 3. A continuation of the first animated series, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Chaos Theory follows its core group of characters as they navigate a world where dinosaurs have become part of everyday life.
With its darker and more mature tone, the show has been well received, and the next season is expected to continue the storyline established in the first two seasons.
Chaos Theory stars Paul-Mikél Williams (Darius Bowman), Sean Giambrone (Ben Pincus), Kausar Mohammed (Yasmina “Yaz” Fadoula), Ryan Potter (Kenji Kon), Raini Rodriguez (Sammy Gutierrez), Kiersten Kelly (Brooklynn), and Dichen Lachman (Soyona Santos). Meanwhile, there’s also an untitled Jurassic video game could be in the works, and rumors of a live-action Jurassic World TV series have even surfaced, though neither has been officially confirmed. With all these multiple projects lined up, it’s shaping up to be a bold new era for the Jurassic franchise.
The Netflix press release states that Chaos Theory is expected sometime in 2025. Jurassic World Rebirth will be released in theaters on July 2.
