Disney World Guests Warned as Fire Blazes in Magic Kingdom Area
A fire alert brought first responders to the Magic Kingdom Park corridor on Wednesday afternoon, arriving during peak afternoon hours, as guests already filled the original Walt Disney World Resort theme park.
The Call That Came In at 1:27 p.m.

At 1:27 p.m. on July 8, firefighters were dispatched to the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area following a fire report. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime logged the response on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The Google Maps pin attached to the alert places the response at an intersection on World Drive — a standard generalized location used to track calls in the Magic Kingdom and Contemporary Resort area, rather than a precise address. The exact site of Wednesday’s fire within that corridor hasn’t been identified.

At the time of this report, no guest accounts or social media posts documenting the fire had surfaced, and Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any public statement about the incident.
An Attraction Down During the Response
The My Disney Experience app showed Seven Dwarfs Mine Train listed as unexpectedly closed on Wednesday afternoon, though it’s unclear whether the popular Fantasyland coaster’s downtime is connected to the fire response. Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t addressed the closure or offered any explanation beyond standard “temporarily closed” language. All other Magic Kingdom Park attractions appeared to be operating normally.

Guests currently at Walt Disney World Resort should continue with their plans and remain alert to any instructions from Disney cast members or emergency personnel. Anyone who encounters active fire or law enforcement activity on property should keep their distance and follow all directions given on the scene.
