The Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 9:36 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, reporting a battery incident at EPCOT. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/7/26 9:36 PM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s EPCOT
#WaltDisneyWorld #Disney

The call came in during prime evening hours at the park — a time when the World Showcase is typically at its liveliest and guests are settling in for the Luminous The Symphony of Us nighttime spectacular. The Google Maps pin attached to the alert reflects the generalized EPCOT address used to track calls at the park rather than a pinpoint location, so the exact location within EPCOT where the incident occurred remains unconfirmed.

The specifics of what happened are largely unknown. How many guests were involved, whether anyone sustained injuries requiring medical attention, and whether any participants face a ban from Walt Disney World Resort properties haven’t been established. Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has released any information about the incident, and further details are likely to emerge only if a police report is filed or criminal charges are filed.

Business as Usual at EPCOT

Tuesday evening’s law enforcement response produced no reported disruptions to EPCOT or any other Walt Disney World Resort property. Guests visiting the parks in the days ahead shouldn’t expect any operational impacts connected to the incident.

As a standing reminder, guests who encounter any emergency or law enforcement response at a Disney theme park should follow directions from cast members and officers on the scene and keep their distance from any restricted areas.
