Disney World Enforces New Dress Code Restrictions
Let’s talk about the most important thing nobody mentions when they tell you to check out LEVEL99 at Disney Springs.

Yes, it is incredible. Yes, it is the largest LEVEL99 location in existence and it just opened at Walt Disney World. Yes, you should absolutely go. But if you show up in the wrong outfit, you are not getting in. And unlike forgetting your Lightning Lane or missing a dining reservation, there is no workaround for a dress code violation at the door of a physical challenge venue.
We have been to LEVEL99. We know what it takes to get the most out of it. And the first thing it takes is knowing what to wear before you leave your hotel room.
What LEVEL99 Actually Is, For the Uninitiated

Before the dress code makes full sense, you need to understand what you are walking into. LEVEL99 at Disney Springs is not a restaurant. It is not an escape room in the traditional sense. It is a massive entertainment complex built entirely around physical and mental challenge games where you run, jump, climb, crawl, balance, and compete. The challenges are real. The exertion is real. People leave sweaty and genuinely tired in the best possible way.
It is one of the best things to happen to Disney Springs in years and it is a legitimate reason to build an entire evening around it. But it is also the reason the dress code exists, and the reason the dress code is enforced.
No Heels. Seriously, No Heels.

Disney Springs has a way of making guests dress up a little. Nice dinner, a night out, the general vibe of the waterfront. Heels are a completely reasonable choice for most of what happens at Disney Springs.
LEVEL99 is not most of what happens at Disney Springs.
Heels are not permitted. The challenges involve running, climbing, jumping, and balancing in ways that make unsupportive footwear a safety issue rather than just a comfort one. Athletic shoes or sneakers are what you need. If your evening involves dinner somewhere nice before LEVEL99, the move is to pack a pair of sneakers in a bag and change before you walk through the door. It sounds like a lot but it takes thirty seconds and saves the entire experience.
Loose and Baggy Clothing Stays Home

Oversized sweatshirts and baggy sweatpants are also off the table. There are two reasons and both of them make immediate sense once you are inside. First, loose clothing restricts movement during physical challenges and creates safety considerations in certain game formats. Second, you will be sweating. Doing intense physical challenges in Florida conditions in a thick sweatshirt is a miserable combination that you want no part of. Light, fitted clothing is not just what the dress code requires. It is genuinely the most comfortable choice for what LEVEL99 asks of you.
Your Clothes Need to Be in One Piece
This one catches people off guard and it is worth quoting directly. LEVEL99’s House Policy states: “Persons wearing torn or visibly soiled clothing may not be admitted at the discretion of management.”
The cool ripped jeans. The deliberately distressed jacket. The shirt with the artful tear across the shoulder. Leave them. It is not about fashion judgment. Torn clothing can catch on challenge elements and create real safety risks, and management has explicit authority to decline admission based on clothing condition. Do not test it. Wear something intact.
Nothing Offensive on Any Part of Your Person
Clothing, hats, jewelry, and visible tattoos with offensive language or imagery are not permitted inside LEVEL99. All of it. Everything you are wearing and displaying when you walk in is subject to this standard. LEVEL99 at Disney Springs is a family-friendly venue in a family-focused destination, and they take this seriously at the door. If there is any question about whether something crosses the line, the answer is to change.
Coverage Is Required
Like the theme parks themselves, LEVEL99 requires guests to wear clothing that covers most of the body. Tube tops, extremely short shorts, bikinis, and similar clothing are not allowed. For an experience where you are physically active for an extended period, more coverage is also simply more comfortable for the majority of the challenges. This requirement works in your favor as much as it is a rule.
Firearms Stay Outside
Consistent with Walt Disney World’s property-wide policy, open carry of firearms is not permitted at LEVEL99 other than by sworn law enforcement personnel. Florida open carry permit holders: plan accordingly.
Why This Actually Matters for Your Disney Trip

Here is the thing about LEVEL99 that people do not fully appreciate until they are inside it. This experience runs long. Longer than you planned. Longer than you thought. Groups get competitive, challenges get addictive, and suddenly two hours have passed and you have not made it through half the games. It is one of those rare Disney Springs additions that genuinely changes what a non-park day looks like for guests who have done everything else.
But it requires tickets purchased in advance because walk-up availability is not reliable, especially on weekends. And it requires the right outfit because the door policy is real and enforced.
The guests who get the most out of LEVEL99 are the ones who showed up prepared. Athletic shoes. Fitted clothing that is clean and intact. Nothing offensive. Covered appropriately. It is not a complicated list. It just requires knowing about it before you pack for your park day.
If you have been to LEVEL99 at Disney Springs since it opened, we want to hear which challenges absolutely humbled you and which ones you felt genuinely good about. And if you are planning a visit for an upcoming Disney trip and want help building an evening around it, drop your questions in the comments. We have been through it and we are happy to help you figure out the best way to do it right.
