It’s Not Even Christmas Yet and Disney World Already Announced Holiday-Ending Event

At Walt Disney World, the holiday season is an essential part of the magic. From the moment fall decorations come down, the parks are quickly transformed into winter wonderlands. Main Street, U.S.A., glistens with twinkling lights, while giant Christmas trees adorn the entrances to every park, creating a festive spirit that guests look forward to each year.

Whether it’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom or the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, Disney spares no effort in making the season memorable.

However, the latest announcement from Disney World seems to be jumping right over Christmas, moving forward to what’s next in 2025. Disney has officially revealed the dates for the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, which will run from January 17 to February 24, 2025. While this is exciting news for fans of the festival, some are questioning the timing of the announcement, which comes just as Disney is gearing up for its busiest holiday season.

The Disney on Broadway Concert Series, a fan favorite, will return once again, along with special dining packages and unique food studios. Art lovers can expect interactive exhibits, live performances, and artist showcases that encourage guests to embrace their inner creativity. But the fact that this announcement arrived before the Christmas season has even fully kicked off is raising some eyebrows.

Disney is known for seamlessly transitioning from one celebration to another. Still, the focus on an event happening in January feels a bit premature to some guests who are just starting to experience the Christmas magic in the parks. With so much still to come in the current season—holiday-themed parades, fireworks, and festive snacks—it almost feels like Disney is rushing into 2025.

To be fair, this isn’t the first time Disney has made early announcements for its upcoming events. It’s likely that the company is aiming to give fans plenty of time to plan their visits to EPCOT next year. However, the buzz around the 2025 Festival of the Arts has somewhat eclipsed the excitement for the holiday season that is just beginning to unfold.

For many Disney regulars, the Festival of the Arts is a highlight of the year. But for now, perhaps it’s better to focus on enjoying the magic of Christmas before jumping into what 2025 has in store.
