Disney has just unveiled its exciting plans for the 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, and there’s something magical for everyone to enjoy.
Running from late November through December, this festival celebrates cherished traditions from around the globe, and it’s all included with your EPCOT admission. Here are some of the must-see highlights to help you and your family make the most of the holiday season at Disney World.
Explore World Showcase’s Holiday Legends
EPCOT’s World Showcase is famous for immersing guests in the traditions of many cultures, and during the holidays, it becomes even more magical. Families can stroll around the different pavilions and experience seasonal stories brought to life by Holiday Storytellers.
Don’t miss the mischievous Barn Santa in Norway, who always delivers some hearty laughs, or La Befana in Italy, who delights young and old alike with her story of visiting children on the Eve of the Epiphany. If you want to learn about Lunar New Year, head over to China for the stunning Chinese Lion Dance, and explore Hanukkah traditions near Morocco and France. It’s a wonderful way for kids (and adults!) to experience holiday magic from all over the world.
Sing Along with JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season
Another family favorite is the JOYFUL! choir, blending Gospel, R&B, and traditional holiday tunes in a performance that will have everyone singing and clapping along. This year, the choir will be performing in its new location at CommuniCore Plaza. Be sure to check the times, as these special performances happen only four times each day.
The Candlelight Processional: A Tradition to Treasure
For many guests, the highlight of the EPCOT holiday season is the iconic Candlelight Processional, where the story of Christmas — the birth of Jesus Christ — is told through music and narration.
Each performance features a celebrity narrator, an orchestra, a choir made up of Disney cast members and local talent, and, of course, those magical herald trumpets. This year’s lineup of celebrity narrators is packed with stars. Whether it’s Josh Gad kicking off the festivities, Chrissy Metz, Neil Patrick Harris, or Jodi Benson closing out the season, there’s something for every Disney fan to enjoy.
With three showtimes—5:00 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:15 p.m.—you’ll have multiple chances to catch the performance. To make the experience even more special, consider booking a Candlelight Processional Dining Package, which includes reserved seating for the show along with a meal at one of 15 participating restaurants.
Whether you’re coming for the food, the music, or the immersive storytelling, the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is a must-do event for Disney fans of all ages. Get ready to celebrate the season and make memories that will last a lifetime!
