Disney’s Magical Main Street
This bustling boulevard is not just a walkway; it’s a journey through American history and Disney magic, where every sight and sound is designed to evoke a sense of wonder and delight. As guests explore Main Street, U.S.A., they can enjoy a variety of attractions and entertainment, from the majestic Cinderella Castle or Sleeping Beauty Castle towering in the distance to the harmonious melodies of the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet.
Pretty much every Disney fan loved Main Street, but the truth is that this stunning walkway is actually much more gross than many fans might assume.
A Place to Relax? Think Again!
Every night, as thousands gather on Main Street to prepare for the evening’s fireworks show, many make the bold decision to sit down on Main Street to take a rest. While this act seems innocent enough, these unassuming guests are actually exposing themselves to some pretty disgusting bacteria.
Unlike other areas around Disney, Main Street is unable to be cleaned during the day. In addition to the thousands of dirty shoes that walk all over the ground, there is also bacteria that comes from the “droppings” of Disneyland Resort’s and Walt Disney World Resort’s horses.
This is why I’ll never sit on the ground between the tracks at Disneyland to wait for the fireworks, but people still do it every single day. pic.twitter.com/gMfIIO97WT

Yes… it is pretty disgusting. While it may be tempting to take a breather on these streets, it is really not a safe idea. If you need to sit, we recommend finding a bench area or riding a seated attraction. While it might be tempting, the ground of Main Street is really not the smartest or cleanest option for guests.
Horse poop is hardly likely to kill you or make you poorly, you probably touch worse germs going on rides and putting your hands on the rails ,but still won’t kill you
