EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival is here and in full swing! This year the amazing artists at the Artistic Talent Group have something new up their sleeves: Cork Toons! That’s right, who needs paper when you can preserve your likeness on a wine cork!

You may know the Artistic Talent Group from The Art Corner in Disney Springs. This fun shop features artists of all varieties doing what they do best! According to their website: “The Art Corner showcases talented artists producing original artwork including classic watercolor caricatures, hand-drawn names, artistic marbling and spin art.” We love stopping by the shop when we’re at Disney Springs (the Artistic marbling is an experience you don’t want to miss).

You’ll find their inventive new booth, Cork Toons, in EPCOT’s World Showcase between Africa and Germany. Using a just a pen, artists create absolutely stunning (and often hilarious) caricatures and then sent home encased in a glass dome! At $19 ($25 with stand) this is a reasonably priced souvenir that’s sure to become a conversation peice!

This is such a unique idea, and Artistic Talent Group founder Keelan Parham, said he was surprised no one else seemed to have thought of it. As to where the inspiration came from? It began during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Parham told Click Orlando, “My wife and I found that we had a few too many corks appearing around our house. And one night, she said, ‘Do you think you could draw on one of these?’ And I’m like, ‘No, it’s entirely too small!’ And then after a couple more glasses, I decided to try it. And that’s basically where it started from”. So there you have it: Wine inspiring amazing ideas since…basically forever!

Are you as obsessed with this idea as we are? This is such a great concept and we hope they’ll carry it to The Art Corner even after Food and Wine is over!

About Jill Bivins

Jill Bivins has been visiting Disney Parks since she was 2 years old and loves sharing her Disney adventures with the world. She likes to say Disney is in her blood and writing is in her bones — so any time she has the opportunity to combine these loves she is one happy camper! She has a deep abiding love for Epcot and as a die hard Star Wars fan has a serious love for Hollywood Studios as well. When she isn't exploring or writing about Disney Parks, Jill is homeschooling her 8 year old son, playing with her brand new baby son, or pretending to be a farmer on her family homestead (despite being unable to keep even a cactus alive).
