When it comes to Walt Disney World, it may seem like things are always changing. Over in EPCOT, a historical transformation is coming to a close with the addition of a new attraction: Journey of Water – Inspired By Moana.

Journey of Water – Inspired By Moana is scheduled to open later this year, which will make it one of the newest additions to Walt Disney World and the newest attraction in EPCOT.

Until then, however, EPCOT’s current ‘newest attraction’ is none other than Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

While Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana will open in the Disney Park’s World Nature area, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind resides in World Discovery.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a roller coaster ride unlike anything Walt Disney Imagineering has ever cooked up before.

While we won’t spoil it entirely, we will say that this unique roller coaster ride takes Guests on a trip that is truly out of this world.

Like nearly all modern Walt Disney World attractions, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind involves a pre-show before entering the final queue in which Guests will board the ride vehicle.

Unlike most Disney World attractions, though, this pre-show is extensive and incredibly impressive, telling a major backstory behind the ride, making it an integral experience to the roller coaster.

However, for Guests visiting the Disney Park last night, the pre-show was simply out of order.

Instead, Guests were ushered through the backstage area and into the onboarding area of the attraction.

This is incredibly unusual, and although it’s a good thing that these Guests were still able to enjoy the attraction, it’s still unfortunate to hear that the magic was ruined for a brief moment.
