Holiday trips to Walt Disney World rarely come with opportunities to spend less than the year before. Between dining, park tickets, hotels, and seasonal experiences, families can easily watch their vacation budgets climb.
But one of EPCOT’s biggest holiday traditions is breaking that pattern in 2026.
Disney has revealed this year’s holiday pricing, and guests will find lower prices at two participating restaurants. These aren’t small adjustments, either. Some individual packages have fallen by as much as one-third compared with 2025.
For a family of four, the biggest difference adds up to $82 in savings. And with EPCOT preparing for its busy holiday season, the timing of those reductions raises some interesting questions.
One Holiday Tradition Can Be Difficult to See
The lower prices apply to dining packages connected to EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional, which returns during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.
The Candlelight Processional brings together a celebrity narrator, a choir, an orchestra, and the Voices of Liberty to tell the Christmas story. Its popularity can also make getting a seat challenging, particularly when a well-known narrator takes the stage.
That makes the dining packages valuable for guests who don’t want to depend on the standby line.
Guests receive a meal at a participating EPCOT restaurant and guaranteed seating for a Candlelight Processional performance later that day. Package inclusions vary by restaurant.
Disney has 16 participating restaurants for 2026. Adult prices start at $43 at Regal Eagle Smokehouse and reach $109 at Le Cellier Steakhouse.
While guests will find plenty of choices, two restaurants in particular have taken an unusual approach to pricing.
Two Restaurants Are Cutting Their Prices
Both Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya and Teppan Edo in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion will charge less for their 2026 packages.
Shiki-Sai will cost $85 per adult and $40 per child this year. In 2025, guests paid $99 per adult and $50 per child.
That gives adults a $14 reduction, while the children’s price falls by $10.
Teppan Edo offers even larger savings. Its package drops from $110 to $89 for adults, a $21 difference. Children cost $40 in 2026, down from $60 in 2025.
That $20 reduction becomes particularly important for families purchasing multiple children’s packages.
Families Could Save More Than $80
Looking at the percentages makes the year-over-year differences even clearer.
Shiki-Sai’s adult package has dropped approximately 14.1%, while its children’s price is down 20%. At Teppan Edo, adults will pay approximately 19.1% less, and the children’s package has fallen 33.3%.
For two adults and two children, Shiki-Sai would have cost $298 in 2025. That same combination costs $250 in 2026, leaving the family with $48 in savings.
The difference becomes larger at Teppan Edo.
A family of four with two adults and two children would have spent $340 last year. In 2026, the total drops to $258. That leaves $82 in the family’s pocket, representing an overall decrease of roughly 24%.
For a Disney World vacation, an $82 year-over-year reduction can make a meaningful difference.
There May Be More Behind the Numbers
Disney hasn’t linked these lower prices to attendance, so there’s no confirmation that crowd trends influenced the decision. Still, Disney World has experienced periods of lower crowd levels over the past year.
Domestic Disney theme park attendance declined 1% during Disney’s second fiscal quarter of 2026, with weaker international visitation contributing to the results.
Summer also brought signs of lighter crowds. Posted wait times during June and July were around 13% below those for the same months in 2025.
But the attendance picture isn’t entirely negative.
Disney reported domestic park attendance rising 3% year over year during its third fiscal quarter. Walt Disney World had a strong quarter, helped by domestic tourists, annual passholders, promotions, and new experiences.
That makes it impossible to draw a direct line between attendance and these dining discounts. Disney could be adjusting individual package values for several reasons, including demand.
The Savings Arrive Before the Holiday Rush
Reservations for the 2026 Candlelight Processional Dining Packages open October 14, giving guests another decision to make as holiday trips take shape.
Most importantly, these aren’t tiny year-over-year adjustments. Adult prices at the two restaurants have fallen between roughly 14% and 19%, while one children’s package has dropped by one-third.
Disney hasn’t explained exactly why these two options are cheaper. For guests, however, the result is straightforward.
Two EPCOT holiday dining experiences will cost noticeably less in 2026, and some families could save more than $80 compared with last year.
