In just a few days, Walt Disney World Resort will officially open its newest roller coaster — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. The new coaster will be located in the World Discovery section of EPCOT in the building that used to house Ellen’s Energy Adventure. Not only will Cosmic Rewind be the first roller coaster at EPCOT, but it will also be the first Disney roller to feature a reverse launch. The ride has been open to invited Guests for special previews, but will officially open on May 27.

In celebration of the opening of the new ride, D23 — the Ultimate Disney Fan Club — is giving members the chance to win the ultimate Walt Disney World vacation, where you can help save the planet with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Now, you need to be a member of D23 to enter the sweepstakes, but the great thing is that they offer a free membership!

Welcome to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! A massive, first-of-its-kind family thrill-coaster only possible at EPCOT, where the Guardians of the Galaxy need YOU to save humanity on an amazing journey across space and time. Get ready to rewind, rotate and head toward the action through an exciting space pursuit. This cosmic trip will be on one of the largest fully-enclosed coasters in the world, featuring the first reverse launch on any Disney coaster! To experience the attraction, you are invited to the new World Discovery neighborhood at EPCOT. Your journey starts in the Wonders of Xandar pavilion, where you’ll have the chance to explore the similarities—and differences—that connect Earth and the planet Xandar. But the Guardians need your help!
