Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for several years, you likely know that Home Alone (1990) is a classic holiday comedy film. The iconic film is a heartwarming yet hilariously chaotic tale that follows young Kevin McCallister, played by Macaulay Culkin, as he finds himself accidentally left behind when his family goes on vacation for Christmas. With his family away and burglars trying to break into his home, Kevin has to defend his house using a series of inventive traps.

Kevin, a clever and resourceful 8-year-old, takes full advantage of his newfound freedom. He raids the fridge, watches gangster movies, and turns his home into a booby-trapped fortress. There’s a memorable scene where Kevin screams after applying aftershave and the iconic “KEVIN!” scream when he realizes his family is gone.

Meanwhile, the burglars, Harry and Marv, portrayed by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, repeatedly fall victim to Kevin’s ingenious and often painful traps.
