Disney cast members dragged logs full of guests out of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World Resort after the attraction abruptly ceased operations. A Disney Park guest shared their experience of being trapped on the ride for over 30 minutes.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom Park in June. The attraction experienced operational difficulties during its early days, with multiple Annual Passholder and Disney cast member previews canceled hours before the park closed. Walt Disney Imagineers continued working on the attraction, and it has experienced fewer issues in recent months.
However, like any attraction that services thousands of guests daily, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure still breaks down on occasion. TikTok user @miikeeyxx recently shared this video after they were stuck on the Splash Mountain retheme for over 30 minutes:
@miikeeyxx was stuck on this ride which felt like forever 😩 luckily they gave out passes #tianasbayouadventure #disneyworld #magickingdom #fyp
Disney cast members eventually arrived to rescue guests from the beating hot sun. They used metal devices to drag the logs closer to the exit platform, helped guests climb out, and escorted everyone back into Magic Kingdom Park through backstage areas.
Although some Disney Parks fans dream of an in-show exit, this guest didn’t enjoy their experience.
“Getting evacuated was not fun,” they wrote.
Walt Disney World Resort did compensate guests for their experience.
“Luckily they gave out [Lightning Lane] passes,” the Disney Park guest recalled.
Walt Disney World Resort rarely publicly releases the reasoning behind attraction shutdowns. However, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure eventually reopened and resumed normal operations.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Issues at Disneyland Resort
Disneyland Park premiered its version of the Splash Mountain retheme in November. Although the attraction experienced fewer issues in its early days, it’s struggled to function amid holiday crowds. Disney Park guests have shared numerous videos of animatronics malfunctioning for days on the Bayou Country ride.
