When visiting a Disney park, it’s important to adhere to the dress guidelines to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. Walt Disney World Resort dress codes usually recommend wearing comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for walking around the park throughout the day.

Disney is known to strictly enforce their park-wide dress code. It’s advisable to avoid wearing revealing or offensive clothing to maintain a family-friendly environment. Disney also strictly prohibits wearing costumes, except on special occasions like Halloween parties.

For some, however, the rules of the Disney dress code policy can get confusing. For one group of Disney Springs guests, their entrance to the parks was made more difficult due to the rules against certain kinds of makeup.

Disney Sets Boundaries for Face Makeup

A recent group of guests has gonhttps://www.disneydining.com/groove-at-the-house-of-blues-kc1/e viral after making a post about being denied from Disney Springs for their face paint. Their faces were painted to resemble jesters because they were preparing for a concert from The Garden Show at the House of Blues.

Park dress guidelines are intended to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors. When it comes to wearing face paint at Disney parks, it’s important to consider a few key points. While face paint is generally allowed, there are some guidelines to follow to ensure that it is safe and appropriate for the park environment. Disney’s website explains:

“While the Dressing for Special Events guidelines don’t specifically address face paint, there is a rule that states no masks are allowed for guests over 14. This rule implies that a guest’s face should remain visible and not altered so much that their identity is hidden. You should be fine as long as your make-up allows you to be recognizable. But remember that park entry is at the discretion of Cast Members, so be prepared to make any changes they may request.”

Guests Told To Remove Makeup With Hand Sanitizer

Many guests find this policy to be hypocritical due to the fact that Disney does offer face painting stations within the Disney Springs area. The guests in question claim some guests were instructed to remove their makeup with hand sanitizer by a cast member.

The guest in question believed that Disney should have sent out an email to inform guests of this policy before the concert began. What do you think of this situation?

  1. This is JUST WRONG!!! During the Pandemic, guests were REQUIRED to wear masks, & to the best of my knowledge, mask wearing is STILL optional as a personal precaution. To “claim” that “face paint” alters a person’s appearance so as to be “unrecognizable” is taking the “at the discretion of Cast Members” to the extreme!!!
