Since its opening date, EPCOT has been delighting Guests from all over the world. Classic EPCOT rides include Soarin’ Around the World, Spaceship Earth, Mission: SPACE, and Test Track.

But newer attractions such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Frozen Ever After have only been entertaining Guests for a short amount of time compared to the classic attractions.

Although it may look like a new addition, it’s actually been an EPCOT structure for years!

This ship is named the Golden Dream, and is reportedly a “historically accurate replica of a 1776 Continental rum runner” sailing ship. The Golden Dream was first built and placed in the World Showcase Lagoon in 1993.

It was damaged in 2004 due to a vicious hurricane that plagued Florida, including all four Walt Disney World theme parks, and promptly removed from the World Showcase Lagoon. Two years later, in 2006, a new and improved Golden Dream was placed back into the body of water.

Now, it remains just outside of the American Adventure pavilion in the World Showcase.
