Florida Bars Will Be Allowed To Operate at 50% Capacity Beginning Sept. 14

Great news for all Florida bars! Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation announced Florida bars can serve alcohol again, operating at 50% capacity, beginning Monday, September 14.

According to the OrlandoSentinel: “Florida bars can serve alcohol again starting Monday at 12:01 a.m. after 2 1/2 months of being closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Bars will again be allowed to operate at 50% capacity.”

Previously, under Florida’s regulations, locations serving only alcohol were not allowed to reopen. Several Walt Disney World restaurants and lounges were previously able to reopen due to their food service along with the alcohol service. There are however some locations at Disney we hope to see this change benefit such as Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk.

As we previously shared, Jellyrolls was scheduled to reopen on October 1, but recently announced the reopening is delayed “indefinitely”. We’re hoping this is one location that could benefit from this news!
