Feel The ADRENALINE: Disney World’s New TRON Coaster Trailer

Walt Disney World Resort just released a pretty awesome new ride trailer for TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom theme park! The brand new high-speed roller coaster ride opened in April earlier this year near Space Mountain in Tomorrowland.

The trailer opens with laser neon light beams that spark and illuminate Cinderella Castle. The quick intercutting edits and synthesized electronic sound effects echo the futuristic and fast-paced mood of the ride. Inside, the attraction is dark – the neon facets are the only source of light.

As Guests enter and mount their forward-facing light cycles, the electronic music intensifies. Quick shots of Guests getting ready to shoot into the grid crank up the adrenaline. And we’re off!

The trailer shows the rollercoaster at top speed, powerfully weaving in and out of the ride’s tech design. Apparently, a second team of racers is on our tail, and we need to go faster! Our pack of lightcycles swoops and dives in what can only be one of Disney’s most thrilling rides.

Picture this: You climb onto your lightcycle. You lean forward. Ready, set…you launch face first into the grid. Speeding through energy gates that only make you faster. You need to go faster, because as you power past bright lights, a team of rival racers is on your tail. Prepare to win. TRON Lightcycle Run Now Open. Walt Disney World.

Walt Disney World is not known for its wild theme park rides, and TRON Lightcycle Run is a welcome new addition for Guests who love all kinds of magic. Plus, Disney’s Imagineering to have Guests sit as if on motorcycles is innovative and looks like a ton of fun! Check it out:

TRON Lightcycle Run is based on Disney’s sci-fi film TRON: Legacy (2010) in which the characters travel by technologically advanced, futuristic lightcycles. The action movie follows Sam, the son of a famous video game developer who mysteriously disappeared. When Sam gets sucked into the same cyberworld that trapped his father, they have to find a way to escape.
