For more than two years, Guests visiting Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort have had to walk past the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater on Sunset Boulevard that houses the popular nighttime show, Fantasmic!. Fantasmic! was forced to shut down when Disney World had to close its gates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, Disney drained the water around the Fantasmic! stage and announced that the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater would be undergoing a major refrubishment.
