Thousands of lucky Johnny Depp fans had the honor of celebrating the star’s 60th birthday with him in person during a live concert on Thursday evening.

On the eve of his 60th birthday, Johnny Depp was touched by a “beautiful gesture” from thousands of fans who arrived to see him perform with The Hollywood Vampires as the band kicked off its European tour in Bucharest, Romania.
A video posted to the band’s Instagram page shows the actor with his hand over his heart, expressing his gratitude to them and blowing kisses to the audience.
“Wow,” Depp said into his microphone, “That’s the largest happy birthday song I’ve ever heard . . . beautiful, thank you!”

Depp’s 60th birthday comes just one year after the actor’s victory in his very public, high-profile defamation case with former wife and actress Amber Heard.
Over the past 12 months, the famed actor has made a steady return to the spotlight, as if he has a new leash on life following the conclusion of the defamation trial that resulted when Depp filed suit against his ex-wife Amber Heard for her attempts to destroy him with a barrage of false allegations and lies. In June 2022, Heard was found to be a liar by a jury of her peers, while Depp was found to have substantiated the claims he made against Heard in his formal complaint.

Since the verdict was delivered by the jury on June 1, 2022, Depp has been in his prime, initially touring with friend and fellow musician Jeff Beck in Europe, making a surprise appearance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, and creating and selling two series of paintings that sold out quickly, fetching hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process.
Of late, the actor has been touring Europe with The Hollywood Vampires, a band comprised of Depp, Alice Cooper, and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry. Last week, however, Depp suffered an ankle injury that forced the band to cancel and reschedule three U. S. tour dates.
