Fans Shocked After ‘Frozen 3’ Loses a Key Player
This shocking twist will majorly impact the upcoming Frozen movie!
There is no doubt about it: Frozen fever has taken over the world. Since the first film debuted in 2013, the world has fallen in love with the magic world of Frozen. The film, which starred Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, and Josh Gad, included songs like “Let it Go” and “For the First Time in Forever,” which have gone on to become international hits. The film’s success led to a sequel, Frozen II, which was released in 2019. This film further expanded the popularity of Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the rest of the world of Arendelle.
Earlier this year, it was announced by Disney that a third Frozen film was in the works at Disney. Immediately, fans began getting excited about seeing their favorite characters return to the screen to continue their epic story. Unfortunately, the loss of a significant Team Member in the film has left some fans feeling insecure about its future.

‘Frozen 3’ Loses Its Leader
On every film set, there is one voice that is the most important of them all: the director. Being a director of a film like Frozen is a massive undertaking. Luckily, Jennifer Lee absolutely knocked it out of the Park.
When Frozen 3 was announced during The Walt Disney Company’s Quarter 1 earnings call, most people assumed that Jennifer Lee was part of the package. Unfortunately, it seems that that is not the case, and she will be stepping away from the franchise.
Lee is one of Disney’s most valuable assets at the current moment. In addition to her work on Frozen, Lee also wrote the story for Zootopia and the screenplay for Wreck-It Ralph. In addition to serving Frozen as co-director to Chris Buck, she also worked as a writer and producer.
What This Means for ‘Frozen 3’
In an interview, Lee explained that Frozen 3 is in good hands with the new team. She says;
“I can’t say where we are at with Frozen 3… All our stories are driven by the artists in the studio. Where we’re going with Frozen did not come from me. It came from an incredible person. That’s a new piece, I’ve told no one. And I’ve been blown away by it and I’m just having a blast with that team.”
While this news is disappointing for some fans, we are sure that Disney will place the movie in good hands. In the meantime, Lee will be sharing her talents with the movie Wish.
