To his supporters, Walt is the epitome of creativity, intelligence, and courage. His legacy lives on in his spectacular theme parks that continue to dazzle fans today just as they did decades ago.
Fans of Walt Disney were horrified to learn that an iconic statue of him had been removed from a Disney theme park. The area where Walt once stood is now unrecognizable after it was flattered by construction teams.

Walt Disney Removed From Park Named After Him
The iconic Partners statue of Walt Disney, which commemorates the visionary founder of the Walt Disney Company, has temporarily been removed from one of its
more prominent locations. The reason behind this temporary absence is because of new developments and construction happening at the Park.
Built in 1993, the Partners statue was created by Blaine Gibson as a tribute to Walt Disney’s legacy. The copper statue shows Walt and Mickey Mouse standing hand in hand, a touching image for fans of this iconic pair.
The Partners statue can be seen at many prominent resorts, including Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disneyland Paris Resort. Unfortunately, it was the statue at Disneyland Paris Resort that was removed this week.
While it may be saddening for loyal Disney fans to see the statue absent, the removal of the statue is a necessary logistical step in the construction process of Walt Disney Studios Park. Currently, the area where Walt Disney once stood looks unrecognizable, as it has been entirely flattened by Disney Imagineers.

What Is to Come for This Disney Tribute?
As construction progresses and the vision for the revitalized Walt Disney Studios Park comes to life, Guests can eagerly anticipate new and imaginative additions that will enhance their visit to this magical destination. Thankfully, the Partners statue is not going to be away forever. Disney Park Guests will have the opportunity to once again stand in awe of this magnificent tribute to the man who started it all and is reminded of the limitless possibilities that can be achieved when imagination and creativity combine.
Once construction is complete, the Partners statue will return, but not to the exact location. The statue is reportedly moving to a nearby location, facing an opposite direction. However, some fans are upset that Disney didn’t use this as an opportunity to move this attraction to Disneyland Park, the “main” Park at Disneyland Paris.

No timeline has been announced as to when Walt Disney will return to this Park, but it is clear that fans are hoping this happens sooner than later. Come home, Walt!
