A few days ago, Bob Chapek sent a company-wide email to Cast Members at the Walt Disney Company. In the email, Chapek told everyone how proud he was to be working with them and he set the stage for what he hopes the company can accomplish in the coming year. Chapek included in the email what he calls the three pillars he wants to focus on — storytelling excellence, innovation, and a “relentless focus” on the audience.
Many fans who read the email — which was given to Variety — were wanting nothing to do with what Chapek was saying. A lot of Disney fans, as well as Guests who visit Disney Parks, have been less than impressed with Chapek’s performance over the last couple of years, and they have not been quiet in voicing their frustration. Since the email’s release, many have taken to social media to share their very own 3 Pillars of Disney.
Twitter user Rob Ye0 (@robjyeo) started the thread with what he believed the three pillars should be.
My three pillars if I were Disney CEO: 1. Soarin Over California 2. Give Cast Members special treatment 3. Wall Carpet

Twitter user RizzotheRatatouille shared his 3 pillars, which include more character greetings that are around the Parks, and Adventures with Parker replied with three pillars, one involving something fans have been asking about for years — a villains-themed land.

The one big issue that people seem to have with Bob Chapek’s three pillars is that none of them seemed to address the Parks directly. Fans have been complaining for months that Park experiences have been decreasing, while the costs associated with visiting Disney have only increased. Most of Chapek’s three pillars seemed to focus on Disney+ and how the company can improve the streaming service.
