The Walt Disney Company is focused on creating magic for guests in all their destinations. From the original Disneyland Park to the newest World of Frozen overseas, Disney creates magical experiences for guests.

Although Walt Disney World continues to be a popular destination for families, we have seen some families move away from the Disney Parks to Disney Cruise Line for family vacations.

Disney Name # 1 Cruise Line for Families

U.S. News and World Report ranked Disney Cruise Line as the best family cruise line. The Disney Cruise Line, which now has five ships: Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and the new Disney Wish, were all given positive reports regarding overall family experiences onboard.

Friendly atmospheres, whimsical amenities, and well-equipped staterooms were just the start. The report continued by saying Disney Cruise Line has something for everyone to enjoy. From amazing kids and teen clubs to adults-only areas, everyone can find something just for them to experience.

These are just some reasons why U.S. News and World Report named Disney Cruise Lines the top cruise for families.

Cruises Are Easy

When looking at booking a trip for your family, a lot goes into the planning process. One great thing about a Disney Cruise is that fewer decisions must be made. Your overall decision-making is done once you have determined and booked your cruise.

Guests can book additional experiences such as fine dining at Palo or Remy’s, shore excursions at their port destinations, or memorable experiences such as Bibbity Bobbity Boutique or a spa treatment. Still, cruises don’t require the extensive decision-making that a trip to a Disney Park does.

Big decisions, such as where to eat or what show to enjoy, are already made for guests once they board their Disney ship. During a cruise, there is much more time to sit back and enjoy the magic.

Disney Parks Get Complicated

If you have been to Walt Disney World lately or are planning a trip to Walt Disney World, you are well aware that the process is anything but easy. No more than ever before, a trip to Walt Disney World requires a lot of extra planning to ensure a successful experience.

Guests need to decide what Disney Resort to book, what tickets to buy, and what dining reservations to make, but they also need to know how to work My Disney Experience, understand Genie+, and navigate the parks successfully.

All of these extra decisions can be a lot for families to navigate. Because of this, a Disney cruise can be a lot more appealing to families. Not only are there fewer decisions to make, but there is a lot more included within the price of the vacation.

We can easily see why families choose Disney Cruise Line as the top cruise for families. It can also be seen why some families might want to take a Disney Cruise instead of heading to one of the Disney Parks for their upcoming family vacation.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
