Extended Evening Hours, early park closures and daily operating hours: Here’s Disney World’s park operating hours schedule for early 2022

It’s almost impossible to believe that 2021 is coming to a close! Next year is almost here, and we have exciting news about operating hours at each theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in early 2022, so if you’re planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth for January through March, here’s the info you need about hours of operation, early theme park entry, Extended Evening Hours, and early closures at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs.

Magic Kingdom Park

Beginning in late January, after the excitement of the holiday season has passed, Magic Kingdom will be opened from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. most days, with the exception of January 25, on which Magic Kingdom will open at 9:00 a.m. and close very early at 4:30 p.m.

In February, Magic Kingdom will generally be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the exception of February 8. That day, the park will close at 4:30 p.m. Other exceptions include February 4th, 9th, 16th, and 21st, on which Magic Kingdom will have Extended Evening Hours. On those days, Deluxe Resort Guests can enjoy the park for two more hours after the park closes to other Guests.

Early March at Magic Kingdom looks similar to February so far. As of right now, the operating hours calendar at Disney World only goes through March 7, and hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the exception of March 2, 2022, when Extended Evening Hours are offered to Guests from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

EPCOT

In late January, EPCOT will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The same is true for February, with the exception of February 7th, 14th, 23rd, and 28th, on which the theme park will offer Extended Evening Hours. Through March 6, these hours are the same, and on March 7, EPCOT offers Extended Evening Hours again.

In late January, Hollywood Studios park hours for Guests are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. February through early March have the same hours of operation, with no Extended Evening Hours on the calendar anytime between late January and March 7.

DISNEY’S ANIMAL KINGDOM

Park hours of operation for Disney’s Animal Kingdom don’t really change either, at least according to the Disney World calendar so far. From late January to March 7, Guests can enjoy the theme park from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

DISNEY SPRINGS

From late January through the first week of March 2022, Disney Springs is open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on most days, but on Fridays and Saturdays, the shopping, dining, and entertainment district at Walt Disney World is open from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Of course, hours of operation at each theme park and at Walt Disney World and at Disney Springs are subject to change. Be sure to check operating hours when planning your winter trip to Disney World in 2022!

About Becky Burkett

I'm an enthusiastic writer who finds joy in random things like cold weather, snow, "I Love Lucy," "The Andy Griffith Show," journals full of blank paper, countdowns to Christmas, the month of December, "Toy Story," "Sleeping Beauty," my 4 kids, my 4 shih tsus, Disney Parks history, Imagineering and visiting the parks. I think Walt Disney is the standard against which genius should be measured. I love to write about Disney Parks, Disney history, all things Imagineering and PIXAR. I adore the colors, story and art direction of Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" (Team Make it Blue!), and "Toy Story" is life (minus "Toy Story 4"). I believe Walt Disney was so much more than an entertainment and theme park tycoon; I believe he was a savant with a vision for life and how it could be if happiness and kindness are strived for. I love Biergarten at EPCOT and 1900 Park Fare at Disney's Grand Floridian. You can find me croonin' with the birdies at the Enchanted Tiki Room, chillin' on the PeopleMover or hangin' with Woody and the gang at Toy Story Land. I'm always looking for Imagineers in the parks, and I'd rather meet Joe Rohde and Tony Baxter than anyone in Hollywood! Hey, if you dream it, you really can do it!
