Exclusive MCU Scoop: Wolverine, Eternals, and Young Avengers Incoming!
For those deeply invested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, new intel has just surfaced thanks to insider Alex Perez. During a recent Patreon Q&A, Perez shared intriguing clues about upcoming MCU projects that promise to expand the universe in bold new ways. With iconic mutants joining the roster and a younger crop of heroes preparing to take center stage, the future of Marvel storytelling looks richer than ever. Here’s a detailed look at what fans can anticipate.
X-Men Are Entering the MCU—And They’re Not Alone
We already have some key mutants lined up for Avengers: Doomsday (2027): Professor X, Magneto, Cyclops, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Beast, and Gambit. But Perez revealed this is only the beginning. Other favorites like Storm, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Deadpool, X-23, and Colossus will also appear in upcoming Avengers movies.
Bonus fact: Wolverine, Deadpool, and X-23 are already MCU regulars thanks to the Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) multiverse storyline. Perez kept details under wraps but hinted they’ll play bigger roles soon.
When asked about potential X-Men villains, Perez named Mr. Sinister, Essex, Senator Kelly, and Bolivar Trask. Remember, Trask showed up in Days of Future Past (2014), and Mr. Sinister has been teased in post-credit scenes for a while now. Looks like these baddies are about to make their grand MCU debut.
The Next Generation of Avengers Is Assembling
The new wave of Avengers is coming, no doubt. Perez pointed to leaked concept art featuring Kate Bishop, Cassie Lang, Billy and Tommy Maximoff, and Kamala Khan hanging out with Star-Lord and Wong — basically a super-powered squad.
He also mentioned a rumored Wiccan and Agatha Harkness show, which might have transformed into a bigger project—possibly a Champions series starring Kamala, America Chavez, and others. It’s not official, but fans are hopeful.
The Eternals Return
Despite rumors about the Eternals being done in the MCU or shifting to anime, Perez confirmed that the Eternals are very much alive and planned to be a big part of the next MCU saga. So fans can expect more cosmic drama from this powerful crew down the line.
Secret Movies, Release Dates, and Speculations
Marvel’s calendar is still full of surprises. The rumored November 2026 release is off the table, but July 2027 is wide open. Perez speculated the slot could be for Doctor Strange 3, World War Hulk, or Spider-Man: Brand New Day — basically anything.
Before Avengers: Secret Wars (2028), expect a surprise project to sneak in. Perez’s hints have fans buzzing with theories.
Where Is War Machine Heading?
Rhodey’s future is murky. Perez explained that plans to explore his PTSD and struggles with armor after the Skrull storyline through Armor Wars are currently paused. It’s unclear if he’ll appear in Doomsday, leaving his arc uncertain.
Any Word on Netflix Heroes or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
While fans clamor for Daredevil and Punisher to return, Perez declined to comment on Daisy Johnson (Quake) from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013). So, no word yet on her comeback.
What’s in Store for SDCC 2025?
San Diego Comic-Con 2025 might focus more on promotion than huge reveals. Perez says Marvel will highlight Fantastic Four: The First Steps (2025), which is releasing soon. Look for updates on Wonder Man, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, VisionQuest, and maybe a sneak peek of Avengers: Doomsday (2027).
Animation fans shouldn’t miss panels for Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and X-Men ‘97 Season 2. Big Phase 7 reveals? Probably not this year — Marvel wants to spotlight Phase 6 for now.
