Exciting New Changes Come to Character Meet and Greets This Month

Disney meet-and-greets are an essential part of many people’s Disney vacations! Getting the chance to hug a favorite character is often a vacation highlight. Sadly in 2020, for safety reasons, many of those opportunities were put on pause because of the Covid-19 pandemic. When they came back, they did so at a distance. As we inch closer and closer to pre-Covid normalcy in the parks, we’re celebrating every step toward this goal! Recently some character meet-and-greets began giving hugs again, and today, we are excited to say even more characters have returned to pre-covid status. Check out below to see who is making their triumphant return this month!

Merida

Destiny lies within us, so if you’re feeling like chasing the wind, you can greet everyone’s favorite wild child once more! Merida has returned to her former location near Cinderella castle in Fantasyland (near Tomorrowland). Catch her at 9:45 am, 11 am, 12:15 pm, 2:15 pm, 3:15 pm, and 4:30 pm.

Mickey and Minnie

Everyone’s favorite power couple is all dressed up with somewhere to go! Mickey and Minnie have returned to their Town Hall meeting place on Main Street USA, and the rooms are down! We have to say, they are looking dapper in their 50th-anniversary party outfits. We are loving their EARidecent looks and can’t wait to tell them so. They meet continuously throughout the day.   

Peter Pan

Hang on, everybody…here we gooooo! Peter Pan is settling down once more in his permanent Neverland meeting location near Peter Pan’s Flight! Previously he’s been spotted roaming around Adventureland greeting guests sporadically. Now he will meet continuously throughout the day once more! 

Aladdin and Jasmine

Finally returning from Agrabah, Aladdin and Jasmine are back and better than ever! If you’re ready to experience a whole new world, you’ll find them near The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. This happy couple is once again meeting in their permanent market location in Adventureland. They typically meet on and off throughout the day but may not be available during bad weather.

Star Wars Characters

He may not be our father, but he’s definitely our favorite villain! Darth Vadar and (friends? Enemies?) are back! Star Wars Launch Bay at Hollywood Studios has been a ghost town for a long time. It served as a “rest area” where guests could remove their masks and cool off when the parks first re-opened but hasn’t seen much action since masks went away. That changes now! Last month Launch Bay re-re-opened and this month will see Chewbacca, BB-8, and Darth Vader resume meeting continuously throughout the day.

Fall in troops! The Green Army Men are back! This one is less a character meet and greet and more an interactive entertainment option, but we’re stoked about it anyway! The rhythmic green toys will once again March through Toy Story Land (while giving the occasional drum exhibition)!

Keep in mind that all times and appearances are subject to change. Going into the Halloween season is especially known to shake things up.
