The holiday season is always special at Disney, but EPCOT takes it to a whole new level with the International Festival of the Holidays.

As soon as you enter EPCOT during this time of year, you’re surrounded by lights, music, and the unique holiday spirit that’s unique to Disney. Each pavilion in the World Showcase is transformed with decor and performances that bring global holiday traditions to life. From festive food and drink to live entertainment, EPCOT has curated an experience for all ages to enjoy the season’s magic.

One of the newest attractions to this festival lineup is Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt, an add-on experience that has quickly become a hit among families and Disney fans.

Anna, dressed in a purple cloak, sits on the snow next to Olaf, the smiling snowman. Kristoff, clad in winter clothes, kneels beside his reindeer Sven. Under an ice-covered tree in the frozen forest, they engage in conversation.

It runs from November 29 to December 30, giving guests an exciting chance to explore the park in a new way. With Olaf leading the way, this scavenger hunt takes visitors around the World Showcase to locate various holiday customs. Olaf, known for his curious and joyful personality, is the perfect guide for guests to discover the festive traditions that make the holidays so meaningful.

How to Join Olaf’s Tradition Expedition:

  1. First, buy a map and stickers from participating EPCOT shops like Creations Shop or World Traveler.
  2. Next, follow Olaf’s journey through each pavilion. As you visit each one, use your stickers to mark the holiday traditions that Olaf has found.
  3. Finally, bring your completed map—or even a partially completed one—back to a redemption location like Disney Traders to claim a special holiday surprise.

This interactive scavenger hunt is limited to five maps per guest, and with its rising popularity, it’s recommended to join early in the festival to avoid missing out.

EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays already offers so much, but the scavenger hunt brings an added layer of adventure and excitement. Beyond Olaf’s Expedition, guests can also enjoy seasonal treats, entertainment, and even celebrity narrators in the Candlelight Processional.

Between exploring holiday traditions, enjoying themed food, and creating memories with family and friends, EPCOT’s holiday offerings are truly magical. Whether you’re seeking adventure with Olaf or simply soaking in the festive ambiance, there’s something for everyone at this year’s festival.
